Day 7: What to do when you feel lost

Yes you can find yourself again!

3 ideas to do when you get lost:

1. Engagement. You don't need to suffer feeling lost by yourself. Just engage with your friends and your family to gain another perspectives. Just go for a drink and listen to people's stories or tell your stories and  share your stories. Just need to look at things in other perspectives.

2. Giving more. Just give more, care more for people. When you think for others more than yourself, you get engaged with your deep self again. Do some volunteer work, do something nice to others.

3. See it as the way it is but not worse. At least you don't make it worse, see it as the way it is. Gain momentum by getting things done. When you take action, even small thing, you gain the momentum again.

2. Triggers/blocking time to refresh after each task

3. Take control of one hour before going to sleep: reading and writing gratitude journal instead of surfing

PASSION: Infinitive RESOURCE of energy: 29 days challenge to breakthrough

PASSION: PASS MISSION TO ACTION

1. Identify your mission in life

Remember you are more than your physical body. Knowing that you live not only for you.

If you do not know exactly your mission, just learn to progress everyday.

2. Action

What to do to develop your skills everyday. If you know your mission, then you just need to take action that matter to your mission.

Remember the key elements is to grow and to give.

3. Honor the struggle and bring joy to what you do

ENERGY: 29days challenge to breakthrough

How to create and sustain ENERGY?

Firstly, the mindset toward energy should be: ENERGY is created by ourselves. We have infinitive energy that we just need to tap into it and make it flow.

Secondly, apply this model: WATER model

1. Water: drink more water

Remember our body is more than 70% water

Remember the planet has more than 70%

So go back to the nature.

Tip: put lemon in the water in the early morning

2. Action

Ask what can you learn everyday? What can you give people everyday? (even just a smile or kindness action) What do you feel thankful everyday (GRATITUDE)?

3. Triggers

Set up the alarm to remind yourself to stay present!

Or set up schedule to call your friends or accountable partner to stay motivated

4. Exercise and go green

Mind exercise and body exercise and eat more green

5. Reason: reconnect with your purpose everyday

The fundamental of purpose is to grow and give joyfully to make a difference in life.

Have an energetic day!

Love,

Jen,

How to design a great day

3 questions to desing your great day when you wake up:

1. what do you feel thankful for? (GRATITUDE for the mind)

Focus on gratitude > happier > more productive

2. Focus: what goals do you FOCUS today? (for PROGRESSING)

The daily goals should move you towards your life goals.

3. What can you do differently today? (for raising STANDARDS)

Youtube and Podcast:

How to stay motivated - self-motivation

The key thing is MOTIVATION does not exist until the moment we create it.

Motivation is self-created.

Anyone can motivate you for some moments, to sustain the motivation, you need to create it every single day until it becomes a 'habit'.

How to create your self-motivation/intrinsic motivation - not extrinsic motivation (intrinsic motivation: personally desire; extrinsic motivation: external reward).

1. Be ambitious/hungry: Knowing your desire, ambition, big goals, or purpose

Every single day, you need to re-connect with it, visualize it emotionally connect with it.

2. Empowering beliefs: Believing in your ability of figure thing out

3. Progress: get 3 things done everyday to move toward your ambition/desire

4. Attitude: Fully responsibility of your life and gratitude toward life

5. Focus

My study with 334 students shows that intrinsic motivation is directly connected to attitude while extrinsic motivation does not.

Be self-motivated everyday.

How to stick on your goals: from goals setting to goals achieving person

What transform you from a goals-setting person to goals-aching person?

1. Having a goal which is APPEALING/CHALLENGING/DEFINITENESS/CONNECTING WITH YOUR DESIRE/PURPOSE

You may hear about SMART goal but before using that SMART goal technique, you need to think big for yourself. SMART goal can trap you by giving you chances to set goals in your comfort zone.

If you have set your goals, take a moment to re-evaluate it:

- Make you feel scared

- Make you feel challenged

- Make you feel excited

- Connect with your purpose/your desire

The bottom line is it makes you push yourself to take BOLD ACTION, to go extra mile. You may not know how to achieve it yet but you are excited because if you crash it, you raise to another standard in life, you discover more about yourself.

If you set a goal in your comfort zone, you will not feel excited maybe stressful because of getting it done on that day but not because you may discover about your ability.

2. Emotion + mind + body working for the goals

If you do not emotionally connect with it, your body will resit.

Every morning:

- Visualize your journey from you are now, overcome challenges and achieve the goals. You keep your smiles on the way no matter how difficult it might be.

- Feel it, See it, touch it, even smell it

(Draw the picture of it? Stick it around your house?)

3. Find an accountable friend for it

Share it with your coach/mentor/friends who lift you up and believe in your potential.

They will keep accountability for you to achieve that goals.

Listen to other people's goals to charge your goals by momentum also. Cheers other people which automatically you cheer yourself.

You are more than any moment

You are more than any moment

How to feel alive : progressing; the power of moment

What is the biggest fear – losing your job is not problem anymore if you hear you have cancer

What is the best thing that could happen in your life?

Affirmation verbally not enough – incantation feeling

Think about the moment that you achieve your goals – make it the whole body feeling – now I am the voice, I will lead not follow, I will believe not doubt, I will create not destroy, I am a leader to find the art , step up , now I am the voice

You are the voice not

You live life on your standard you don’t settle

You step up and claim who you are

Your life is matter, you are a giver not a taker

You define yourself, define your life

The voice is nothing more than the meaning you are giving something you did or didn’t do.

You judge and evaluate yourself and the little voice in your head is just you “hearing” that judgment and evaluation.

Increase your PRODUCTIVITY: the rule 3

1. Live up to your best self described by 3 ADJECTIVES every single day
For ex: I am, Jessica, enthusiastic passionate patient person
To live up to your best self consciously and subconsciously by putting it on your walls, your laptops, and your phones
or set up TRIGGERS - pop up in your phone to remind you occasionally everyday.
2. Goals everyday
3 goals everyday to move you towards your long-term goals in life.
You will take action to achieve your daily goals and then move closer to your long-term goals.
It also helps you to keep the momentum with daily achievement.
3. Gear you up to wake up every morning
Refer to the book - the 5 second rule - count down to gear you up and get out of bed.
4. Control our action based on our emotions
Anytime you feel angry, count down 3 to 1 to calm down and act with your intentionally self
Reconnect with your best self that are bigger than the anger
5. Gratitude
3 things that you feel thankful for everyday. Focus on GRATITUDE to be more productive.

More self-disciplined

Our beliefs, our motivation, our action physically and emotionally connected. The mind and the body should be as a system supporting for your goals.

1. Emotionally connection

Visualization practice to emotionally connect with your task

2. Do your work before responding to the world

3. Schedule

4. Social reward

5. Recording anytime you are not desciplined or disciplined

You are more than any moment

How to feel alive : progressing; the power of moment

What is the biggest fear – losing your job is not problem anymore if you hear you have cancer

What is the best thing that could happen in your life?

Affirmation verbally not enough – incantation feeling

Does it add value to our life?

16 March, we learned different lessons. BELIEVE SMALL STEPS KEEP GOING. One speaker taught us to believe in ourselves. Another taught us to take small step and try it anyway. Another speaker showed us his perseverance. We also had a wonderful speaker who shared 'Tackle the hardest part first'.

I found another lesson for not only my speech but in doing projects in my life. CUT what does not add value. One experience speaker used to write down his speech and turned 3 sentences to 3 words while remaining same message.

I reflected back the time I could cut 4000 words essay to 2000 words essay; 5000 words to 2500 words. I never did it with my speech?

From speech to life?

Does this ADD value to my life?

Ask this question and only keep the things having the ABSOLUTE yes.

***********************************How can we stay FOCUSED***************************************

1. Using number 3 rule:

Before you do anything, before you reply to any requests, count down 3 to 1:

+ To avoid reply by your impulsive thoughts

+ You can calm down and intentionally reply

+ Repeat the process to re-check with your mission; whether the request is going to move you towards your mission in life?

+ Repeat to check whether the opportunity help you grow?

+ Does it add value to your life or people life?

2. Saying NO more often

+ Saying NO to the things which do not give you the absolute answer 'YES' for the questions above

+ Saying NO to express your respect to other that you need time to think about the request; and that you only say YES when you can be sure 100% that you can commit to it with your heart

+ Saying NO to express your respect to your self and your mission

3. Cut non-essential things

Just take a pen and a paper and draw your activity pictures.

- 5 activity you normally do every day

- 5 activity you normally do every week

- Evaluate to see whether these activities can give you the answer YES to the questions in section 1

4. Use the 9 minutes rule

- Increase 9 minutes for being mindful with gratitude

- Increase 9 minutes for physical exercise

- Increase 9 minutes thinking about strategies for doing things better

- Increase 9 minutes for reading books

- Increase 9 minutes for writing journal

- Reduce 9 minutes browsing everyday

- Reduce 9 minutes watching videos or youtube in the subjects not adding value to your life

- Reduce 9 minutes of thinking about I have to do this but not doing

5. Setting triggers to remind yourself

Little things

Podcast: http://www.podcastgarden.com/episode/weekly-gratitude_100906

Weekend gratitude
I went to my favorite coffee shop for writing but got a different feeling today. I saw a family with 4 people, 2 kids and parents. I closed my laptop and admirably observed them play a game. One person acted out as an animal or famous person, others guessed. They could laugh and hugged each other when one guessed correctly.
They would cheer each other for each correct answer. The mother would take the hat of the little girl and put on her head.
Have you ever felt the same?
Little thing in life. But beautiful.
Little thing can move us if we tune in in the present moment.
Observe people, observe life to tune in the present.
Fully present to connect with our deep down.
Thanks for being you!
Thanks for life.

CHOICE ACTION FOCUS

Every morning when we are thankful to wake up and have freedom to choose to take ownership of our day. Every morning, we are thankful to be alive. Every morning, we are thankful for what we already had and believe that we deserve to have more with commitment and desire. Every morning, we are thankful to live up to our best self and purpose. Every morning, we wake up with abundant love inside us and people around us.

My thankful for today: The beauty of people around me

I planned a seminar to introduce my 2nd book but I could not get it in time yet. I thought at least I could gather friends who are deeply into personal development. They all came after I contacted them even last minutes.

We had a wonderful importune seminar where we could hear stories and what inspire us.

We went with the flow. We went with our nature paths as our true best self.

I met her, T, a 2 months ago. At the first time I could see her panic and confusion. She was always looking around for something else, not into the conversation while we were talking. We pumped up with each other another time on other meeting. T messaged me to have a coffee together. I got to know her inspiring story of following her purpose of being the model for her son.

She has a genuine smile which can move people's heart. Yesterday, T smiled and stood up and shared her voice. By chance we could see outside of the window, my team or loners, which one do you want to choose?

T asked the question, do you want to collaborate or fight by yourself.

T shared about how did she feel about her life of working with people from all walks of life and seeing them not happy. Most of us tend to live in their box, the box the society tells us to. But is it true? Only true until we let it become true.

Every morning when we wake up, knowing that we are truly living with ourselves. We allow ourselves to be out there, every single moment.

Our best self is calm, peaceful, loving, and caring. Yes, our best  self loves taking bold action. Our best self loves people and loves collaboration. No body is smarter than all of us. Nobody best self is smarter than all best self of use combined.

Every single day.

Gratitude + Ownership +Bold action + Giving

How to design your productive day

(COOL model: Connection with yourself + Ownership of your day + Organizing your day+ Laugh -bring joy to what you do)

(Evaluation for your daily activity: Does it matter? Does it move you towards your mission in life? So what is next? What can eliminate?)

How to design your productive day
Most people focus on the minority sources of success ()
Daily mind to approach a day:
1. Decide I am the owner of my day
What?
I can regulate my action, my response to a situation.
I have a freedom to choice. I have my free wheel to be the ownership of my day.
Why?
We take back control of our life, our day. We look at life as things happen for us.
If not we will feel that we are victim of our day, we tend to be victim of our own emotions.
How?
Just decide. Ask yourself that question every morning.
Anything happens just pause and use your intentional self to decide what meaning you want to give into it.
We are the give instead of passive taker.
Everyday when you wake up, ask this question.
2. Intention over impulse
Why?
If not we will re-act to things with our fast system without intention - it is impulsive intention.
The first reaction without intention or your best self (your fast system in your brain).
For example: Oprah team, before a day they ask 'What is our intention today".
"What is my focus today?"
Before you start something, you decide what intention, what meaning do you give into the action.
How?
It is the practicing process.
It is consistent process.
Just take a moment in the morning for yourself.
Just pause before taking action.
Recommended book: The power of intention
3. Slow down: 3 things that you feel thankful for
Why?
To be mindful even you have a lot of projects.
Never just click the sence and not being in the sence.
Slow down the moment that matter.

We lost the meaning of moment. The only way to live with intention our conscious mind is to be
fully in present.
If you see something nice, just appreciate that moment.
4. Bring the joy: 3 things you can do to bring joy to people you meet
- Change the energy around you to get more joy
- Bring your positive self
- Bring meaningful things into things
- For ex: Walk inside a room with joyful intention.......
5. Difference: What can you do differently to go to the next levels (strategies)

DAILY TOOL
- 3 GOALS: keep you on track
Sub-goals
Actions for each goal
- people reaching out/waiting on/accumulated
- Projects with outcomes for your day
- Evaluation: what matters? what next?
Eliminating things do not matter

How our brain works? How to maximize our performance?

This is a series interviews with Chris Walton - an internationally recognised performance psychologist, and the author of two best-selling books: The Gamma Mindset (creating the peak brain state); and Peak Performance in 60 Seconds  (the 4 essentials to maximise your energy, resilience and performance).

Meet Chris online at: http://www.chriswaltonuk.com/

Day 1: Why and how limiting beliefs work?

4 big ideas explained by Chris (check more details at: http://www.gammamindset.com/the-4-myths-and-facts-about-changing-your-mindset/)

1. Beliefs change easily because our brains are continually forming new neural connections and are extremely adaptable. Metaphorically, changing subconscious beliefs is like revising a document in a computer.

2. We know that our belief systems at the most fundamental level are specific patterns of energy and information within the body. Working with the matrix system of the body allows us to change our beliefs quickly and effectively.

3. The most efficient way to change subconscious beliefs is to have the latest understanding of your mind–body ‘operating system’ and to use a set of energetic psychology tools that provide a way to change deep-seated beliefs.

4. The doorway to your subconscious mind is your body. Energy psychology tells us that our bodies encode everything we believe.

See you in our next interview about HOW WE CAN DO IT?

Decide to empower your empowering beliefs today!

Decisions determine your action that determine your future.
