SUPER SUNDAY NOTE — THE VALUE THAT MAKES YOU, YOU
Dear beautiful soulful leaders and entrepreneurs,
This Sunday, I wasn’t sure what to share.
I stayed with that for a while. A few words kept returning:
Love. Kindness. Gratitude.
I remembered a question I have asked leaders and founders amid all the things they are doing:
“If one value were taken away from you, and without it you would no longer feel like yourself, what would that value be?”
One answer I often hear is: KINDNESS.
A word. A lifetime to live it.
And a small memory came back.

One Christmas season, Henry and I were having dinner in an Indian restaurant.
“Would you like something to drink?” the waiter asked.
“We’re great, thank you,” I said with a smile.
He looked at my water bottle.
“Oh, you’re drinking sky juice! That’s the best drink!”
We laughed.
With a grin, he told us how patiently we would have to wait for the rain to fill that bottle with juice from the sky.
Then he wished us a lovely meal and a Merry Christmas.
Sky juice.
The phrase stayed with us for the rest of the day.
Even now, I remember his smile. His playfulness. The warmth at our table.
A bottle of water, a few words, and the three of us laughing.

When we sit with the word kindness, we can see it in leadership:
* Someone letting us finish before they speak.
* A quiet thank-you after a long day.
* A difficult truth spoken gently.
* The words, “I got that wrong. I’m sorry.”
* And sometimes, my own voice saying: “This is what I can offer.”
We are learning to be kind to leave room for ourselves here, too.
To rest. To receive. To let someone be kind to us.

1. What is one value that makes you, you?
When the titles and achievements are set down for a moment, what do you still hold close?
2. Where will that value appear in your day?
In a message, a promise, a conversation—or the way you meet your own tiredness?
3. What value does someone in your team hold close?
