#RebirthLeadership #1000SoulsInMe
Some weeks, we have been everywhere.
Moving from one meeting to another.
Travelling back and forth.
Going to events.
Learning.
Listening.
Supporting people.
Building things.
Answering messages.
Thinking about what comes next.
Nothing may be particularly wrong.
And still, somewhere inside, we begin to feel a little fragmented.
Our body is here, but our mind is still in yesterday's conversation.
We are with one person, while thinking about another.
We finish one project, but continue carrying it inside us.
We keep taking in more — another conversation, another event, another book, another podcast, another idea — when perhaps what we need is not more input.
AND MAYBE IT IS TIME to come home.
Coming home does not always mean going somewhere.
Sometimes it simply means returning.
Return to the body.
Return to the breath.
Return to what is true.
Return to the numbers.
Return to the person in front of us.
Return to the promise we made.
Return to the work that is actually ours.
Return to rest.
Return to play.
Return to love.
Return to ourselves.
And ask:
What actually matters now?
What is mine to do?
What am I still carrying that belongs somewhere else?
What have I learned enough about and now need to live?
What can I put down?
What deserves my presence this week?
For leaders, entrepreneurs and people who hold many things, this is also a practice of Rebirth Leadership.
Leadership is not only our capacity to go out into the world, create, contribute, learn, connect and lead.
It is also our capacity to return to ourselves without disappearing from the world.
Because coming home is not withdrawing.
We come home so that when we meet our family, our team, our clients, our work and the world again, more of us is actually there.
Maybe that is all coming home ever promises.
Not that we will never become scattered again.
Only that we begin to notice when we have.
And know the way back.
Then, when we are ready, we open the door again.
There are still people to meet.
Things worth creating.
Places worth going.
Relationships worth nurturing.
Communities worth building.
Books worth writing.
Lives worth living.
The thousand souls inside us do not need to become quiet before we begin again.
We can bring them home.
Listen.
Let them settle.
And from here,
we meet the world again.
Sunday Reflection Corner
Before the new week begins, perhaps sit quietly for a few minutes and ask:
+ Where have I been living this week — in my body, or everywhere else?
+What am I carrying home that I can leave where it belongs?
+What do I already know enough about and now need to practise?
+What are the 1–3 things that truly deserve my life this coming week?
And finally:
From what place inside me do I want to meet the world again?
With love & gratitude,
Your Jen
