SOME QUESTIONS ONLY APPEAR WHEN WE BEGIN TO TRULY LIVE

#RebirthLeadership

Today, I stopped by the shop of a friend I have known for fifteen years.

Years ago, when I was still a student, I occasionally helped with a few things there.

I brought my laptop and sat down to work for a while. At one point, I looked at the screen and said to myself:

“I feel a little slow today. Let me create some energy and wake myself up again.”

When I finished and was about to leave, my friend called me back and smiled.

“That thing you mentioned before… the one about helping people change or find their motivation again… let me join.”

I asked:

“What makes you want to join?”

He sat quietly for a few seconds.

Then he said:

“Lately, I’ve felt bored. Life feels boring. Sometimes I wonder, is this all there is? Is there another meaning to life?”

I asked:

“How long have you felt this way?”

He smiled.

“Many years.”

I smiled too.

“So you’ve become familiar with it. Maybe you can just continue.”

He shook his head.

“No. I still think there must be another way.”

I asked:

“What have you tried before?”

He shared.

He still went to work. He took his family out. He travelled. He changed his surroundings whenever he felt tired.

Then he paused and said something very simple:

“I guess it still has to begin with me.”

When I left the shop, I booked a ride home.

I asked the driver:

“Have you ever wondered what the purpose of life is?”

He laughed.

“Of course.”

I asked:

“And what happened after that?”

He answered naturally:

“I just live. Each day, I try to live a little better.”

Then he told me about meditation, the talks he listens to, and how he returns to himself whenever his mind becomes crowded.

Two conversations.

Two people.

Two different lives.

And yet, I heard the same beginning.

Neither person began with an answer.

They began with the realization:

“I do not want to continue living in the same way.”

Some people call it boredom.

Some call it restlessness.

Some simply feel that something inside is no longer at peace.

The name matters less than the moment we finally pause and ask:

“Is there a way for me to feel more alive?”

Many journeys of transformation do not begin with an answer.

They begin with an honest question.

And then, from that day onward, we try to live a little differently.

Read one book.

Go to bed earlier.

Listen to the body.

Spend time with the people we love.

Or simply sit with ourselves for a few quiet minutes.

Life may not change immediately.

But we begin to change.

And from there, the answers we have been searching for slowly begin to appear.

If you feel unclear about the meaning of your life today, perhaps you can begin with one question:

What within me is asking to be lived differently?

And what is one thing I can appreciate each day?

Perhaps that is where a new journey begins.

Love and gratitude,

Jen
