I was confident in those words. Time has proved them true, as I now witness the first students blossoming into young women—graduating from college, stepping into new roles of service, and achieving incredible things.

But Maya wasn’t having it. She stopped me cold.
'You have no idea what your legacy will be!' she exclaimed. 'Your legacy is every life you touch! Every person who has ever watched your show felt something. They were moved to take action—go back to school, leave an abusive marriage, stop harmful behaviors, find their voice, and break free from being victim. It’s not one thing—it’s everything!'"
