This morning, during our 5:34 AM session, the team revisited a passage from the book ‘30 Days to Change Your Habits.’
Day 15: Generating your own energy every single day.
Back then, I was living with Uncle Malc in England.
Every morning, I would shout out loud:
“WOW!”
One day, Uncle Malc came rushing down from upstairs, looking quite alarmed:
“Are you alright?”
I smiled and replied:
“I’m doing great! I’m just greeting the new day and generating some energy!”
At first, he didn’t quite get it.
But eventually, he started saying “Wow” back.
From then on, “WOW” became our shared language.
A simple sound.
Yet, it served as a reminder that energy isn’t always something we have to wait for.
We can create it ourselves.
There is another layer to explore here.
In the past, I used to ask:
How can I get more energy?
How can I take more action?
How can I keep moving forward?
Now, we might ask:
Where is this energy going?
Because sometimes, while we’re excellent at generating energy…
…we end up pouring it into someone else’s sense of urgency.
Into an opportunity that just popped up.
Into a project we’re perfectly capable of taking on.
Into a relationship that needs some attention.
Into a problem we know we have the ability to solve.
And because we’re strong enough, things start to move.
But “movement doesn’t necessarily mean growth.”
Growth, however, might look like this. Generating energy from within,
staying firmly and consistently connected to your core,
and choosing what is truly worthy of that energy.
WOW is no longer just about:
“Get up and do something!”
It can also be:
“Wow… I am alive.”
I have a body to care for.
A mind to cultivate.
A family to love.
People to journey alongside.
Things I genuinely want to build.
A life that doesn’t require chasing after every open door.
...
This is also part of ‘Rebirth Leadership’.
It’s about not waiting for the world to provide you with energy—
yet, at the same time, not squandering your energy on just anything that makes enough noise.
Generate your own source.
Return to your center.
Then, choose where you want your life to blossom.
And sometimes…
everything can begin quite simply.
WOW!
What is your “WOW” today?
With love and gratitude,
Jen
