Family Enterprise × Human Development × Venture Building

Who will continue your business legacy?

Continue. Transform. Or Create Anew.

NEXT LEGACY gives the next generation real business and venture experience before the family makes assumptions about succession—helping both generations discover what deserves to continue and what they are ready to build next.

For Families Explore succession before deciding succession.
For Next Gen Understand the legacy without giving up the right to choose your own path.
Through Real Experience Move from assumptions about potential to evidence from practice.

The Succession Question

Readiness cannot simply be inherited.

A family can transfer shares, assign a title or name a successor. But capability, commitment and identity develop differently.

The next generation may want to continue what the family built. They may want to modernise it, create something beside it, become an owner without becoming the operator—or discover that their path lies elsewhere.

NEXT LEGACY creates room to discover that before major succession decisions are made.

Two Generations. Two Questions.

For Founders & Business-Owning Families

What do we genuinely want to continue?

Clarify the legacy, values, capabilities and responsibilities worth carrying forward—and understand what readiness should look like before transferring leadership or responsibility.

For the Next Generation

What do I genuinely want to build?

Understand the family business, experience businesses beyond the family environment, contribute to real ventures and test your own capacity and ideas before choosing the next step.

What NEXT LEGACY Is

A bridge between family legacy, next-generation development and real-world venture experience.

NEXT LEGACY integrates Family Enterprise × Human Development × Venture Building.

It is not a legal succession service. It is not a startup bootcamp. And it does not assume that the next generation must operate the family company.

It creates the conditions for better choices.

For Families

What the family can learn.

A better succession conversation

Move from assumptions and expectations toward evidence and dialogue.

Greater visibility into readiness

See capability through experience rather than family position alone.

Next-generation aspirations

Understand what they want—not only what the family hopes they will want.

New possibilities

Surface ideas for new ventures, products, markets or business models.

Possible Next Chapters

Succession is one possibility—not the only one.

CONTINUE

Prepare to enter or lead the existing family enterprise.

TRANSFORM

Modernise or develop something new inside the family ecosystem.

CREATE

Launch a new venture, independently or alongside the family enterprise.

OWN DIFFERENTLY

Become a responsible owner without necessarily becoming the operator.

Choosing another professional path can also be a legitimate outcome. The objective is not to manufacture a successor. It is to make the next decision more informed.

How We Work

Legacy without coercion.

✓

Choice matters.
The next generation is not required to inherit an operating role.

✓

Ownership is not readiness.
Family position and leadership capability remain different questions.

✓

Confidentiality matters.
Family and business information is shared only within agreed boundaries.

✓

Ideas have owners.
Participant, venture and studio IP is clarified before collaboration.

✓

Investment stays separate.
Programme participation never guarantees funding or commercial endorsement.

✓

Formal succession needs specialists.
NEXT LEGACY does not replace legal, tax, ownership, governance or financial advisers.

FAQ

Questions worth asking before you begin.

Does the next generation have to join the family business?

No. The programme is designed to improve the quality of the choice, not determine the choice.

Is NEXT LEGACY succession consulting?

Not in the legal, tax or ownership-transfer sense. It focuses on human readiness, leadership development, business experience and entrepreneurial experimentation.

What is the role of DCI Venture Studio / Lab2Market?

It provides selected venture-learning contexts, cases and experiments. Participation depends on fit, confidentiality and availability.

Does participation include investment?

No. Investors may contribute perspective or feedback where relevant. Any future investment process remains separate and follows its own criteria.

Can participants develop an idea unrelated to their family company?

Yes. Independent ideas can be explored. The programme is interested in the participant's genuine direction, not only opportunities that fit the current family enterprise.

Can founders and next-generation members participate together?

Yes. The design can include both separate and joint conversations because some questions require personal space and others require family alignment.

Begin the Conversation

The question is not only “Who will take over?”
It is “Who is becoming ready—and what do they genuinely want to build?”

NEXT LEGACY begins with a conversation about the family, the business and the next generation.

No succession decision is required. No venture idea is required.
